How to Care for your Vesseled Spirits
A basic walkthrough for beginners
What is a Spirit Vessel?
Spirit friends can be either shipped pre-bound to a vessel from a Conjurer or bound with the use of a distance binding method to a vessel you already own. The vessel works as a "home base" and is often a piece of jewellery, a gem stone or a statuette. A vessel should be durable and fitting for the spirit in question. Some spirits have certain request and requirements regarding the choice of vessel, but any object can in theory be turned into one.
Always look into the attributes each potential vessels before making a decision. Make sure avoid "fake" costume-grade metal in jewellery if you have sensitive skin that can only handle genuine gold or silver.

Do I need to wear/carry the vessel at all times to keep my spirit friend beside me?
No, the vessel just acts as it's home base. If you leave the house without the vessel on you, your friend can still follow along to wherever you're going if you want to go together. Vesseled spirits exist within and apart from both the physical and astral realms at once, with an exception for living entities who dwell in their own realm. With living entities, you have to agree to go together beforehand so they can make time and be fully present for you. Spirits do not have the same physical needs or social duties as living entities. A spirit may even attach itself to you prior to it's vessel arriving.
Where should I keep my spirit vessel when I'm not waring/carrying it?
A vesseled spirit will be happy if you make a special place for them somewhere in your home. If you already have an altar, placing your vessel near it is usually a popular option for keepers and spirits alike. When making an offering to a spirit, keeping it's vessel near the offering and speaking it's name lets it know it is for them. If you make most of your offerings near where they're kept, it's handy!
If you like, you can spoil your friends by keeping items they like close to their vessels. Just make sure these are items that won't spoil. This is different from regular offerings. You should not leave out/use/eat/keep regular offerings; after an offering has been given, you can just leave it out for an hour or so and then dispose of it. If you are uncertain wether your spirit is finished with your offering, you can check by placing a pendulum over it. If the pendulum is steady, your spirit has finished and you should throw out the physical item. It means has been duplicated and is in their realm for them to enjoy.

Do Spirit Vessels need to be recharged? What is a charging box?
Spirits enjoy having their vessel and your bond recharged with extra energy now and again. You can energize your vessel by letting it charge for 24 hours at a time in a charging box (a nice storage box with a charging spell cast on it) or by leaving them in a safe spot to soak up sun- or moonlight. The charging box itself can also be left out in the sun- or moonlight to strenghten it's effect. You want you can also have spell-imbued fabric in the charging box but it is not a requirement. If you feel your binding is getting weaker, the best way to recharge it quickly is to wear the vessel and carry it around with you. You radiate more energy than a charging box and if you focus on them while wearing their vessel they get a huge energy boost.
Are there any no-nos? Can other people touch my vessel?
Simply try not to lose or break your vessel.
Many materials that are often used for spirit vessels don't like being submerged in water so try to avoid doing it.
If other people, salt, a bit of water or pretty much anything else touches your vessels without physically destroying it, it's usually no big deal. If a vessel gets accidentally imbued with any unwanted energy, some good 'ol cleansing will do the trick!

I lost/broke my vessel, can the entity bound to it be recovered?
Yes. All spirits can be recovered and re-bound to new vessels if necessary. Just make sure to quickly contact your cojurer tell them them what happened and everything will be OK.
